Aleatoria

AI Drum and Bass Generator: DnB at 174 BPM With Long DJ Intros

Updated 4 October 2026

Aleatoria generates drum and bass from a text prompt at the tempo you set: choose the Drum & bass genre, write "liquid drum and bass, reese bass slides, wide pads" and 174 BPM, and you get a finished track with a club-loud master and, whenever the beat could be measured reliably, a beat grid and cue points your DJ software can read. The synthesizer makes a drum and bass track in seconds with every instrument on its own stem, and on Studio and Pro the Extended Mix can give a track a 48- or 64-bar DJ intro. The studio has no drum and bass template yet, so the button below opens the 130 BPM techno template: choose Drum & bass as the genre, set the tempo and replace the description with your own.

Open the techno template, then switch it to drum & bassOpens the studio with this template filled in. Nothing is generated until you press Generate.

How do I generate a drum and bass track?

Open the studio, choose the Drum & bass genre, set a tempo, describe the sound and press Generate. The AI model renders a full track in about one to two minutes — up to about five when its GPU has to start first. The synthesizer composes the notes itself and renders one in seconds for 0 credits: two-step breaks with ghost snares, rolling hats, a gliding Reese bass, dark pads and stabbed leads, with half-time breakdowns.

Which tempo does it use, and will the track be on it?

Drum and bass is typically played between 160 and 180 BPM; the studio's Drum & bass genre suggests 168–176 BPM, and you can type any tempo you like. Synthesizer tracks are on the grid by construction. An AI model's tempo can drift slightly; the free Exact BPM tool then stretches the track onto the tempo you asked for, when its beat grid could be measured and the measured tempo is within 4 % of the target.

How long a DJ intro can I get?

At 174 BPM, 32 bars last only about 44 seconds, which is short for mixing in at drum and bass speed; 64 bars give about 88. So the Extended Mix (Studio and Pro, 8 credits) offers an intro and outro of 16 or 32 bars at any tempo, and of 48 or 64 bars from 160 BPM. It is built from the track's own drums, or drums and bass, looped on the track's own grid. Mixing guides advise keeping only one bassline playing at a time, which is what the drums-only intro leaves room for.

What do I get for DJing?

  • From the AI model: the BPM in the tags when it was measured (no key), and a beat grid and cue points in the MP3 and FLAC for Serato plus a rekordbox XML with the same grid and cues, whenever the beat could be measured reliably.
  • From the synthesizer: BPM and key in the tags, the key in Camelot notation in the file name, a grid and cue points at the section starts (Intro, Build, Drop, Breakdown, Outro …) with 8- and 16-bar loops at the first drop, and the DJ pack: the mix, its Drums only and No bass versions and the rekordbox XML in one archive.
  • DJ tools: Exact BPM (free on every plan), the Extended Mix and a DJ transition between two of your tracks (4 credits, Studio and Pro). More on the AI DJ tools page.

Is the master loud enough for a club?

Drum & bass, techno, deep house and trance get a club master at about −8 LUFS by default instead of the −14 LUFS streaming level, so a generated track does not drop in level next to the records around it. You can change the target before rendering. For four-on-the-floor tracks see the AI techno generator and the AI house music generator.

Can I play or release AI drum and bass?

On Basic, Studio and Pro you may use your tracks commercially, including in paid gigs. Releasing is a different question: as reported on 28 August 2026, Beatport blocks fully or predominantly AI-generated tracks from its store, so check the rules of the store first — see where you can release AI music.

FAQ

Is the AI drum and bass generator free?

No — there is no free plan. Without an account you can hear a 30-second synthesizer preview on the trial page (3 a day, deleted after 24 hours, nothing to download). Plans start with Basic at €2.99 a month: 100 credits (about 20 AI songs), commercial use and unlimited downloads. An AI track of up to 4 minutes costs 5 credits. Studio (€9.99 a month) and Pro (€29.99) add more credits and the Extended Mix; see the price list.

Can it make liquid, neurofunk or jungle?

There is one Drum & bass genre. Name the style in the description and the AI model takes it into account alongside the Drum & bass style tags; the synthesizer always plays its own drum and bass arrangement at your tempo.

Can I mix a half-time track into a 174 BPM one?

The DJ transition accepts two of your tracks in compatible keys whose tempos are within ±6 % after a half- or double-time move, so an 87 BPM track is accepted next to a 174 BPM one — as long as both tracks have a measured beat grid.

Can I get the stems?

Synthesizer tracks come with a stem per instrument and the MIDI of the composition on every plan. For AI tracks, AI stems and MIDI are available on Studio and Pro. More in the AI music generator overview.
